CPCI Conservation Partnership Meeting
Coastal Prairie Conservation Initiative (CPCI) Conservation Meeting
Victoria/Goliad/Aransas NWR
July 29-30, 2025
Coastal Prairie Conservation Initiative (CPCI) was formed in 1998 to restore habitat in the Refugio-Goliad Prairie and maintain the economic viability of agricultural lands. The private-public partnership includes private landowners, the Grazing Lands Conservation Initiative, The Nature Conservancy, and public natural resource agencies. CPCI is excited to host an invitation-only collaborative conservation forum for landowners, land managers, and conservation practitioners engaged in voluntary conservation on the prairie. Participants will include landowners/land managers and individuals from public conservation agencies and conservation organizations.

Day 2: (Aransas NWR) will include updates on current grassland conservation efforts and opportunities.
Outcomes: Learn from landowners about current challenges and opportunities related to healthy grasslands and working in partnership, recognize the role a practitioner can play in partnership development and implementation, learn about the tools and partners available to benefit grasslands, learn about current partnership efforts including prescribed fire and Atwater Prairie Chicken. There is no registration fee, although attendance is limited..
