Native Prairie Soil Workshop

Native Prairies Association of Texas, Fayette Prairie Chapter is hosting a Hands-on Conservation Workshop, “Native Prairie Soil” featuring Garry Stephens & Nathan Haile of WHF.

What You’ll Learn

• The importance of soil history and how it impacts your prairie restoration.
• Techniques for identifying soil types and understanding their unique properties.
• Core principles of soil health and how to apply them to restoration projects.
• How soil health influences your restoration success.
• Methods for monitoring and improving the soil on your prairie.
• A guided tour showcasing the unique soils of the Post Oak Savannah and Blackland Prairie regions.
