Small Producers Initiative November Workshops

The Small Producers Initiative (SPI) is partnering with two land trust organizations — the Texas Agricultural Land Trust and the Native Prairies Association of Texas — to present two upcoming workshops on land stewardship and how conservation easements can help landowners protect their land for future generations.

Each on-farm workshop is open to Texas farmers, ranchers, and landowners and will include:

• A farm or ranch tour led by the host landowners
• Lessons in regenerative agriculture and soil health
• An introduction to conservation easements, including how they work and how they can protect land while maintaining private ownership
• Firsthand perspectives from landowners about caring for family land and why they chose a conservation easement

These workshops offer an approachable, supportive setting to explore practical land-management strategies, ask questions, and learn from other Texas landowners and conservation professionals.
